Dr. José is an English-speaking general practitioner with a solid background in primary care and a focused clinical interest in breast health (mammology), dermatology, and trichology. He holds an MD degree (Integrated Master in Medicine) from the Jessenius Faculty of Medicine, Comenius University (Slovakia) and completed pre-medical training at the Berlin Medical Academy.

His medical education is complemented by extensive clinical rotations and internships in Portugal and abroad (Slovakia and Brazil), including general surgery, internal medicine, family medicine, pediatrics, gynecology and obstetrics, plastic and reconstructive surgery, cardiothoracic surgery, and pediatrics. This broad exposure allows Dr. José to approach patient care with a comprehensive, preventive, and integrative perspective.

In his daily practice, Dr. José works as a primary care physician in both clinical and home-care settings, managing acute conditions, chronic diseases, and preventive health needs. He also has hands-on experience in dermatologic and minor surgical procedures, including the removal of skin lesions using cryotherapy (liquid nitrogen), electrocautery, and minor surgical excision, always following appropriate clinical indications.

With a strong focus on skin and hair health, Dr. José performs dermoscopy for the evaluation of pigmented and non-pigmented skin lesions and trichoscopy for the assessment of hair and scalp disorders. He is actively involved in trichology and hair medicine, including medical management of hair loss and PRP (platelet-rich plasma) therapy for the scalp as part of individualized treatment plans.

Dr. José also has experience in emergency and pre-hospital medicine, working in medical teams at large-scale events and emergency settings, as well as in home medical visits for acute and chronic care. His clinical interests include preventive medicine, minimally invasive procedures, aesthetic and reconstructive medicine, and integrative approaches to long-term health.

He is a native Portuguese speaker, fluent in English and Spanish, proficient in Italian and Slovak, and has conversational knowledge of German, allowing him to care for an international patient population in Lisbon.
